The Anna Lord for House District 21 campaign began our 2008 walking campaign this weekend.
In 2006 Anna's walk plan was to knock on the doors of Dems, unaffiliated voters and households with a Republican woman under 50. She wore a pedometer when she walked in 2006 and logged 115 miles before she lost it in October.
The great thing about walking is the characters you meet. Here are two of the stories below the fold:

The Anna Lord for House District 21 campaign began our 2008 walking campaign this weekend.
In 2006 my walk plan was to knock on the doors of Dems, unaffiliated voters and households with a Republican woman under 50. I wore a pedometer when I walked in 2006 and logged 115 miles before I lost it in October.
The following is a statement and response in the Colorado Springs Gazette - the response by Anna Lord, the Dem candidate in HD-21. They published a very nice Metro Section front page article on the El Paso County Dems, interviewing John Morris. However, they also included quotes from Dave Schultheis, a Repub candidate for CO State Senate. It appears Dave isn't just coming out against the Constitution ( see this SquareState diary - he's not really too keen on the 14th Amendment either).

I admit it - I'm a lazy blogger. I love it when other bloggers go to all the effort and bring me the data. Last week on MyDD, Benawu did a great job of posting an update on the 50 State strategy at the federal level. It was awesome - 425 of the 435 US Congressional seats had Dem candidates. Lot's of comments on the missing seats were there. My question is - what do the Kossacks know about the races for STATE houses? My reason for raising that - we are REALLY proud of Colorado this year.
I have been rather monotonous on the support for down ticket candidates. And I'm coming back again with a challenge for the netrooters. If you really want change support it. Many of state candidates or, for that matter, the smaller state congressional candidates aren't raising a kajillion dollars. So, pick a state a week, find a candidate and donate a latte. A measly THREE AND A HALF bucks from 2,000 netrooters represents an entire month's fundraising target for a lot of candidates.
